To spread out the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda by publishing books in English as well as various Indic languages.
Rabindranath Tagore the noble laureate for literature had said “Vivekananda's gospel marked the awakening of man in his fullness…If you want to know India, study Vivekananda.”
Swami Vivekananda on his return from America had exhorted the Hindu society to work for the masses which were neglected. He wrote, “Be positive: Do not criticize others. Give your message, teach what you have to teach, and there stop. The Lord knows the rest.”
In the Prospectus of "Brahmawadin" in 1895 which was started with the inspiration from Swami Vivekananda, it's mission is written as, "..to propagate the principles of Vedantic religion of India, and to work towards the improvement of the social and moral conditions of man by steadily holding aloft the sublime and universal ideal of Hinduism...Mindful of the fact that between the ideal of Hindu scriptures and the practical life of Hindu people, there is a wide gulf of separation, the proposed new journal will constantly have in view how best to try to bridge that gulf and make the social and religious institutions of the country accord more and more with the spirit of that lofty divine ideal....Utilitarian consideration of convenience and the justice based thereon, have never held sway over man’s heart here to the same extent as faith in religion and its commandments.
The new India of today is in many respects far different from the old India of centuries ago, and all our old institutions have to get themselves readjusted so as to be in consonance with the altered conditions of modern life. For this purpose it is highly necessary to see that the Hindu religion is more than ever earnestly engaged in the service of man in this ancient land of ours, wherein the sacred light from above has shone always on suffering humanity offering guidance and the consolation of immortal bliss.
All truth is one and must be perfectly concordant and the only thing that any religion has to hate is vice.
Proposed to bring out books on Swami Vivekananda and his message and to take this inspiring and life-giving message to as many as possible.
